Walking meditiation  

Retreats give us the opportunity to press pause on our daily lives and immerse ourselves in “non-doing.” This sacred pause not only replenishes our energy but also unveils profound insights and cultivates a renewed harmony with the way things unfold. 

If you have a regular meditation practice or if you are new to meditation, this sustained practice over three days allows you to deepen your own personal qualities of acceptance, patience, trust, non-striving, letting be and stability of mind.  It also develops confidence in your ability to sit in meditation for longer periods which allows the time for deeper insights and awakenings to happen.

The retreat weekend is held on our gorgeous property just west of Young  (about 4.5 hours from Sydney, and 2 hours from Canberra) with accommodation in our home, garden cottage and glamping stables.  As much as possible, we will practice in Nature -in the garden and out in the paddocks, adding Nature therapy to the goodness of the weekend.

STAY:

One of the bedrooms   insomnia

At night, you can settle into your comfortable beds made with organic linens, either in the cottage or the stables.  We have four queen rooms, 3 single rooms and 1 single share room.

We have a bathroom in the cottage, a gorgeous outdoor shower/bath in the garden (with hot water! delicious under the stars at night!) and a 1/2 bath at the stables.

MEALS:

Home-cooked vegetarian meals with a menu designed by Danette to be light but filling, nutritious, fresh and yummy.  

  • Breakfast: Help yourself to bircher muesli, Chia Pudding, sourdough bread, organic yoghurt, fresh fruit in season, make-your-own-smoothie, detox ginger shots and a selection of herbal teas and coffee.  
  • Lunch: Enjoy delicious Buddha, Sushi, Poke or some other kind of “bowl” featuring fresh & cooked vegetables, grains and beautiful sauces.  
  • Dinner: light but sustaining homemade vegetable soups, stews or curries with optional sourdough bread or biscuits.  
  • Snacks/Dessert: fruits, nuts, bliss balls and some yummy “healthy” desserts like Salted Caramel Tahini Cups, Salted Dark Chocolate Bark, Gluten Free Almond Coconut Cake and more…

DETOX:

     

Have a swim in the pool, schedule yourself in to the Barrel Sauna anytime during the retreat and finish with a Cold Plunge in the Ice Bath!  Do it daily to feel alive, detoxed and invigorated!

PRACTICE: 

     

Danette guides you through Dru Yoga, mindfulness meditation, deep relaxation/Yoga Nidra, gentle breath work, yoga dance, walking meditations, journal work, creative mindfulness as well as talks on applied mindfulness and yoga philosophy.

RITUAL:

Ritual is an important part of holding sacred space for the retreat.  Experience opening and closing circles, cacao ceremony and nightly fire ceremonies (whether permitting).
